Temporary pause on invoicing and payments
As we transition to the new National Environmental Protection Agency (National EPA) on 1 July 2026, and to support end‑of‑financial‑year processes, there will be a temporary pause on invoicing and payment activity from:
4:00 pm Friday 26 June to 9:00 am Monday 6 July 2026
During this period:
You will not be able to make payments for EPBC projects.
The department will not issue invoices.
You may continue to submit referral applications; however:
The department will continue assessing applications and progressing projects during this time.
